Island United AC was founded in the fall of 2017 as the Community Soccer team for the young immigrants from the islands of the Caribbean by Jeffrey Nicolas, Alex Petithomme, Oreste Joseph and Gilbert Presume. The club competed in various tournaments, local leagues all over South Florida Areas, which included the Miami Beach Soccer League, Florida Gold Coast and the Haiti Cup at North Miami Stadium. In 2019, Island United was able to compete with a lot of dedication and won the Florida Gold Coast competition in Coral Springs and was named regular season champions. By the Fall of 2019, Island United AC decided to participate in the National Soccer League (NSL) which is a national competition taking place throughout the country. In 2021, after COVID in the summertime, Island United resumed all operations and joined the Haiti Cup known as Madan Gougousse which takes place yearly at the North Miami Stadium, the club was able to win third place. In May 2023, the team made the jump to join the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) and made it to the semifinal.
